QS SYSTEMS Sdn Bhd, which constructs quarry plants and manufactures crushing and screening systems, is eyeing better revenue from overseas. According to managing director Ngeu Yet Meng, the company is confident of attaining 90% of its revenue from abroad in two to three years' time, compared with 70% presently. "The new markets which we are now looking at include Morocco, Cuba, North Korea and South America,'' Ngeu told Star Business after launching the company's giant jaw crusher at its headquarters in Bukit Beruntung, Selangor, recently. He said the company's sales and marketing efforts were currently focussed on Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region and, it was fast expanding in Europe. For the current financial year ending Jan 31, 2002, the company had forecast a 66% jump in revenue to RM100mil, from RM60mil last year, said Ngeu. Incorporated in December 1982 as Quarry Specialist Sdn Bhd, QS Systems has been acknowledged by leading crushing equipment manufacturers as having world-class capabilities for designing crushing, screening and conveyor systems. The company is principally involved in the quarry and material handling industry. It specialises in designing and manufacturing complete turnkey crushing and screening plants for rock aggregates, cement, coal, iron ore and other mining industries. "We have been exporting our locally designed screening equipment to more than eight countries for the past two to three years,'' Ngeu said. He added that QS Systems' major clients were from France, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Sweden and Senegal (Africa). "France contributed about 40% of our total export revenue while Japan, about 30%,'' Ngeu said. With advance computerised design facilities, fully-equipped factory, experienced personnel and stringent quality control, QS Systems is able to manufacture export quality equipment such as apron, feeders, grizzly feeders, pan feeders, belt feeders, inclined screens and horizontal screens.
