Pyriform Press is a small press endeavor dedicated to publishing high quality creative literature by contemporary writers. It was begun in 2000 by writer Ellen Redbird during her enrollment in the Summer Writing Program at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. Distinguished Professor of Poetics and Artistic Director for the Summer Writing Program, Anne Waldman, encouraged her summer MFA students to publish chapbooks of each other's writing.
