Professional Planner recognises that key elements in this evolution are a trend towards fee-for-service as an advice-delivery model, and higher standards of competence and ethics for all financial planners. A leading voice in the debate about industry standards, Professional Planner provides a forum for the debate and development of new ideas and standards - including the fee-for-service advice model, the definition of "fee" and how a fee-based revenue model can support and enhance the client relationship. Fee-for-service advice is not on its own an answer to the financial planning industry's reputational issues, and we firmly believe that increased levels of debate on all issues surrounding professionalism are inevitable and we aim to deliver well informed and authoritative content to financial planners. The Professional Planner team is assisted by an advisory board of industry professionals who are consulted on a regular basis.
