Primewood Information

Primewood Lumber Inc. was founded in 1988 and has since become one of Canada's largest hardwood lumber exporters. We are the choice of many quality-oriented European and Asian importers of North American hardwood lumber. Our success is in part attributable to our geographic situation. Drummondville's location in the center of Quebec and a short distance from Montreal allows us to benefit from the excellent facilities of the Port of Montreal for our overseas deliveries as well as from an immediate access to national roads for our procurement and distribution. Moreover, the importance we attach to quality translates into rigourous grading and bundle preparation. Our clients can expect uniformity from one delivery to the next. Finally, with a large kiln-dried working inventory of 2,500,000 board feet (3/4 to 16/4 according to the species), we can prepare mixed loads of all kinds. In order to furnish our 7000 m warehouse on an ungoing basis, we also rely on our subsidiary in Pennsylvania for direct access to products from the Appalachian area. In addition to our Pennsylvania pre-drying and drying facilities, we operate a state-of-the-art sawmill located a short distance from Drummondville. We deliver our products all over the world. Also, with the help of our German partner, Fritz Offermann Holzimport, we have access to top quality African woods such as Framire, Khaya, Okoume, Sapele, and Wawa. Other European and Indonesian species, such as European Beech and Dark Red Meranti, are also custom imported.
