For local merchants, BubbleLife Media realized that their problems with local online advertising weren’t from the lack of audience, but rather the poor approach they used to advertise. The core problem was the perception that online advertising was just like yellow page advertising – run the ad and wait for the phone to ring. But online marketing is fundamentally very different than the yellow pages because it represents a multi-step process that is unfamiliar to most small businesses. In order to address this problem, small businesses needed a set of tools that let them manage their own process with tools, in addition to education on how to use the tools.
