ABOUT SHARE FOOD PROGRAM
Share Food Program is the largest-serving hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation. Today, about 22 percent of Philadelphians live in poverty—twice the rate of the national average, and the reason Share Food Program is here. Each month, Share feeds hundreds of thousands individuals—more than half of whom are children and seniors.
OUR MISSION
Share Food Program leads the fight against food insecurity in the Philadelphia region by serving an expansive, quality partner network of community-based organizations and school districts engaged in food distribution, education, and food justice advocacy.

Table to Table is a New Jersey community-based food rescue program that collects perishable food that would otherwise be wasted and delivers it to organizations that serve the hungry in Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Morris, and Passaic counties. This fresh food is delivered free of charge to more than 200 agencies throughout the area, including elder care facilities, drug rehab centers, homeless shelters, homes for victims of domestic violence, HIV day centers, and pantries serving the working poor.
Table to Table is the first and only food rescue program in Northeast New Jersey solely dedicated to redistributing fresh, healthy, perishable foods. In 2019, with your help, we will deliver enough food for 23 million meals.
MISSION
To solve two major social issues simultaneously: food waste & hunger.
Nourish Now is a 501c3 nonprofit food bank, specialized in food recovery and providing donations from grocers, caterers, sporting venues, restaurants, bakeries, and additional food donors for the benefit of children, families, and seniors. Through our programs, viable food partners are identified, and donations of food is recovered and redistributed through our network.
OUR STORY
Nourish Now was founded by current Executive Director, Brett Meyers, after years of working the food service industry. He learned that 75 billion pounds of fresh food is wasted each year in the United States, while every day over 50 million people experience food insecurity. In May of 2011, Brett founded Nourish Now with the goal of making food waste and hunger each other’s solutions.
By maintaining strong relationships with local philanthropic food providers, we have donated over 28 million pounds of food since our inception.
