Began in 1999, Pocol Press is a publishing firm dedicated to producing high-quality books from first-time, non-agented authors. However, all submissions are welcome. We're dedicated to good storytellers and to the written word, specializing in short fiction, baseball, and our established e-book market. Our growing list of genres includes Fiction (who says the short story is dead?), Baseball (satisfying and unusual non-fiction and fiction titles), War Stories (not just blood and guts), Western (the finest cowboys and indians authors alive), Spiritual (Judeo-Christian), and Memoir (unheralded but vital). Several of our books have been used as literary texts at universities and in book group discussions around the nation. Pocol Press does not publish children's books, romance novels, or graphic novels. Our website features a collection of book reviews devoted to Pocol Press titles and offers Sneak Peeks into our books. We're also a "home" for books about Nineteenth Century Baseball, maintaining an extensive list of over 230 titles. Pocol Press encourages reader reviews of our books on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and other web sites.
