PNGI was birthed in 1992 by Chris Arnold and Margaret Anderson, two people who strongly believed in equal opportunity and the belief that behaviour is communication. They started by providing professional support to Northern Communities. At that time, Professional Support was mostly spent understanding people through observation, creating plans and then teaching their team and family members how to best work with them. Chris and Kristie worked alongside each other for over 15 years; Chris as the lead Behaviour Consultant and Kristie as the lead of another agency that required professional support. Marg retired in 2014, which lead to Kristie and Chris working together at PNGI. Chris passed suddenly in 2017, leaving the future of PNGI unknown. Kristie acquired ownership of PNGI in 2018 and leads an exceptional team of people who care about helping people with diverse abilities live their best lives.
