PlayFest Information

PlayFest is Melbourne's 'big day out' for little people - a music and arts festival for kids, bringing the spirit of a music festival to a new generation of festival goers. At PlayFest, everything is aimed at getting mini humans moving and grooving and enjoying all the aspects of festivals that their parents have grown up with. PlayFest: Big fun for little people - with music their parents can also enjoy. The inaugural PlayFest in November 2014 was a huge success, attracting approximately 5,000 people over two days to Melbourne's iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl. There were three stages of music including the Main Stage and a Cabaret Big Top, a Storytime zone, Music Workshops, a Sports area, a Silent Disco, a massive LEGO play area and of course, loads and loads of coffee. Sponsors included the Herald Sun, Leader Community Newspapers, ABC Events, ABC Local Radio, IKEA, Readings, Yamaha Music Education, The Story Peddlers, Ready Steady Go Kids, St Ali Coffee Roasters and the Coffee Peddlers. Loads of fun was had and lots of lessons were learnt - and planning is already underway to bring you an even better event in 2015.
