Pinnacle School Information

Pinnacle School: Pinnacle School provides a preK-12 full-time education with a research-based curriculum, small classes, and expert teachers. The curriculum is designed to serve the needs of students with dyslexia and similar learning differences. Our students learn best in an individualized, hands-on, and project-based setting. In addition to our specialized language arts and math curriculum, we offer many different opportunities for student engagement. These include an entrepreneurship program, gardening, cooking, music, foreign language, wood working, animal care, and inventions. Pinnacle Learning Services (Tutoring/E-tutoring): We offer additional tutoring for students in the community who need extra help in reading, writing and math. This is either in small groups or in a one-on-one setting. Students can also opt for online tutoring, for which they are provided access to a web-based reading remediation program. They receive additional practice material based on their progress and their problem areas. Summer Academy: This is an intensive 7-week program for students who need additional services or review over the summer. The program is designed to help students stay on or get to grade level during the summer months. Pinnacle Testing Center: Pinnacle Testing Center provides quality, cost-effective, diagnostic services for students with learning difficulties. Every student who is seen at Pinnacle, whether in the full-time school or supplemental tutoring programs, participates in an initial diagnostic screening that provides standard scores, as well as percentiles and grade level equivalencies for six different sub skills essential to reading mastery. These include fluency, rate, accuracy, and comprehension, along with phonemic and sight word efficiency.
