Founded in 2010 by Lauren Conrad & Maura McManus, paper crown is a collection for those who want to have fun and look lovely while doing so. During her childhood, Conrad would create dress up designs with her grandmother, who encouraged her to be resourceful at playtime. Most notably, she remembers making paper crowns. When it came time to name the brand, Conrad and McManus took inspiration from Lauren’s visits with her grandmother. They landed on the name paper crown, honoring the idea of making something beautiful from raw materials.The collection is composed of romantic dresses, feminine blouses, chic day wear, and tailored basics, all designed by Conrad. The result: an understated elegance that is both effortless and sophisticated. In 2014, in the midst of planning their own weddings, Conrad and McManus added a bridesmaids line to the brand. Offered in flattering shades and designed to fit a variety of body types, the dresses are truly pieces that can be worn again. By taking a modern approach to classic style, with an emphasis on fabric and fit, the brand continues to grow while maintaining an aesthetic that is fresh with a feminine charm. In 2017 paper crown will expand into men’s accessories and women’s jewelry to compliment its bridesmaids collection.
