Palm Ventures, LLC, founded in 1992, is an investment company focused on investing in and building businesses in partnership with management teams and a small group of substantial investors. Our primary investment focus is on companies which have a positive and transformative impact on society and generate predictable revenue streams in fragmented industries. Our current industry focus includes 6 sectors: Education; Business software and services; Health Care / Health and Wellness; Human resources; Financial Services; Renewable energy We will also look at investments in other industries, including but not limited to distressed investments. Palm Ventures is guided by three fundamental tenets: 1) invest in businesses which generate annuity revenue streams by providing products and services to other businesses, 2) accelerate through add-on acquisitions, and 3) provide portfolio companies with access to resources in the five functions critical to growth companies – technology, marketing, product development, business development, and human resources. We take a value-added approach to the development of our portfolio companies, leveraging strategic investors, retired executives, and accomplished operating professionals. Where possible, Palm Ventures will seek to invest in existing businesses as a platform from which to achieve substantial efficiencies and growth through the application of technology, add-on acquisitions and the bundling of related services. Palm Ventures capital is provided by its principals as well as a small group of high net worth families who add meaningful, strategic value.
