Greylock was founded in 1965, one of the few venture firms that predates Silicon Valley. We invest selectively and partner deeply with the founders we back. Each partner takes on only one to two new investments a year because the work requires depth. We bring the full attention, network, and resources of Greylock to every partnership. Across more than 100 IPOs and over 250 acquisitions, we have partnered with generational companies including Airbnb, Figma, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Palo Alto Networks. Many defining companies were built inside our own offices before they had a name. Today, AI has made the map blank again. We believe many of the defining companies of this era have yet to be built. We are builders backing outliers, aiming to be a founder’s first believer and long-term partner.
