We’re here to help people to have fun rowing, on the River Thames and beyond, in challenging or leisurely ways, on a pay-as you-row basis. We offer rowing tours, and corporate team-development sessions for workplace groups, on the River Thames near Egham, Berkshire (just off Junction 13 of the M25). Rowing in a crew is the ultimate example of "everyone pulling together": each rower must adapt for the good of the whole crew, and when they do, the result is phenomenal! In addition, the cox has a major leadership role to play, of course... We use touring rowing boats, which give all the exciting feel of fine, racing shells, as they glide through the water, but are just a little more stable, to give inexperienced rowers full confidence. We can guarantee that a rowing session is WAY more memorable than an evening in the pub, and it's a fun, but effective way to supplement more formal team-development activities. Paddleducks is run by Carol Cornell and Helena Smalman-Smith: highly experienced rowing coaches, who also have corporate and L&D backgrounds, and can share some pretty inspiring tales from their rowing lives, including: rowing across the Atlantic; winning at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta; and racing an VIII with one person missing after a crash in warm-up!
