Scouts helps over 460,000 young people in the UK develop the skills they need to succeed in life. Internationally, there are over 30 million young people enjoying the benefits of Scouting. We believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing,' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves. The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that uses outdoor experiences and challenges to develop young people and equip them with skills for education, work and life. Founded in 1941, we now have six residential centres in the UK.
