Outrivals ethos is to 'Exceed life's possibilities'​ and to 'Be Your Own Hero'​. We are a fitness company that believes your biggest rival is yourself. That the only thing that stands between you and your own greatness is the person you face every morning in the mirror. The person you face who sometimes raises doubt, uncertainty, insecurity, and those I-can’t-do-it-moments. Our community spirit will help you outdo yourself every single time so your inner-rival won’t be able to keep up. In 2016, we launched our first Outrivals boutique gym in Old Street London to offer a true boutique environment where members feel comfortable in the space they train in, to be their own hero. Each boutique gym offers 2 training spaces for our 55+ classes per week, a retail hub with our cobranded products and a nutrition bar selling in-house smoothies and shakes. In future sites, we will look to add in our very own cafe offering food daily for our members. Our aim is to build 15 boutique gyms within UK and globally by 2023. The movement was started as a community project in 2014 by Matt Lo with a vision and belief; to make personal training more accessible. Starting out with outdoor fitness classes around East London, he successfully crowdfunded the movement in August 2015 raising over £75k in 21 days to have their own indoor boutique gym in Old Street, London. To this day, Matt ensures that everybody who walks into any of our boutique gyms feel like they are a part of something special and part of a community rather than just a member by ensuring the team goes the extra mile for everyone.
