Orillia Rowing Club Information

The ORC offers rowing programs for all interests and levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. Most of our rowers are recreational rowers, who row for fun, fitness and participation in regattas. We also offer a competitive training program and have had some of our rowers go on to row with varsity university teams and represent Orillia at major regattas and sporting events, such as the Ontario Summer Games and the Royal Canadian Henley. Orillia has an interesting and impressive history when it comes to rowing. One of the world's greatest oarsmen, Jake Gaudaur , was from Orillia and trained on Lake Couchiching. The ORC has revived the tradition of rowing in Orillia and we look forward to continuing to promote and encourage participation in this awesome sport.
