ORCD Afghanistan Information

ORCD is an Afghan national NGO established in 2011 and got registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan the same year. ORCD is the first and only Afghan NGO having Special Consultative Status with the UN/ECOSOC since 2015. Apart from having direct working relationship with 7 Governmental institutions, we are a trusted implementing partner of 7 UN agencies: UNODC, UNHCR, UNDP, WFP, WHO, UN Women, and UNOCHA. We are one of the top NGOs certified by Afghanistan Institute of Civil Society (AICS). Apart from being an elected member of the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT), ORCD is Co-Chair of the Health Cluster as well its Strategic Advisory Group (SAG). In addition, ORCD is an elected member of the Steering Committee of Alliance of Health Organizations. ORCD has implemented more than 32 medium to large scale projects and is currently having around 9 ongoing projects in health, rural development, women empowerment, livelihood, refugees and education.
