One Village at a Time Information

Nurturing Hope..Restoring Health by Connecting Resources One Village at a Time. We are a small non-profit working in East Africa. Our goal is to work with partners on the ground to develop effective feeding programs for all the children in the village and to help develop small businesses through micro-finance. Our model allows us to go into a community and set up a self-sustaining feeding program, introduce maternal-child health, reproductive health and to sign an MOU with the parents for 2 years. The first year is dedicated to teaching how to become self-sustaining and the second year is to build on those skills. Once the villagers have attained this they then move on to other schools and villages to become the mentors and teachers...one village at a time.
