One Step Up LTD. was founded on January 7, 1983 in a Manhattan showroom in the heart of the New York City garment district. A family-run apparel business formed by the Adjmi family, One Step Up was the brainchild of founder and visionary Amin E. Adjmi who saw the untapped opportunity for a junior fashion company at the time. One Step Up broadened its distribution strategy by launching Missy, Plus, Mens, Childrens and Underwear divisions. Global sourcing capabilities extended the company’s reach to over 12 countries in Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and India to name a few. OSU opened up satellite offices in Los Angeles, Arkansas, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and China making One Step Up a global player in the apparel and footwear business.
