Omaha Language Solutions is a company based in Omaha, Nebraska that specializes in translation and interpretation services. Founders Kelly and Ricardo are an experienced team who enjoy the challenge of teaching, interpreting and translating both English and Spanish. Kelly, who hails from Western Nebraska, is a native English speaker schooled in languages and teaching. Her studies of literature and grammar in U.S. and Mexican universities have helped her develop high proficiency in Spanish. She has been a professional interpreter since 2006 and has experience in both the medical and judicial fields. She is certified to interpret at the state court level in Nebraska and Iowa, and in Federal Courts throughout the United States. Ricardo, a native of the Yucatan Peninsula, grew up speaking both Spanish and Mayan. He honed his English skills in college and earned the opportunity to study in the United States, which soon led to the chance to work there as a language instructor. Ricardo earned his Ph.d. from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2012 and is exploring ventures related to translation, interpretation, and online instructional design for language learners.
