OilComp Information

OilComp has, since 2001, been an effective link between companies in the oil and maritime industries and suppliers of competence-based and certified training in the Norwegian market. The core of OilComp’s business is an online booking system that connects customers to our network of training providers. Our aim is to provide approved and well-recognized training in close proximity to travel links, helicopter terminals and homes of offshore workers and sailors. In Norway, we offer approx. 150 course types and more than 4000 course events within technical, health, environmental, safety and emergency preparedness and security related topics. Outside of Norway, we provide 70 different course types in Aberdeen and in the Philippines. We expect the number of providers and courses executed by our partners outside Norway will increase over the flollowing years. All of OilComp’s training providers are well recognized, certified and approved by relevant authorities. OilComp also offer services and consultancy within competence management and R&D Sea Survival projects. In addition, we offer extensive verification and onboard training programs giving us an opportunity to have close cooperation with our clients. Our daughter company NPS, Norsk Petroleumsteknisk Senter AS (Norwegian Petroleum Technology Centre), is the largest provider of IWCF certification training (Drilling Well Control and Well Intervention Pressure Control) for those working within drilling and well service in companies located in Norway. We also offer security related training and exercises for those operate on the vessels (SSO), ship owner office (CSO) and at ISPS ports (PFSO) and offshore bases. OilComp and its subsidiaries holds the accreditations ISO 9001:2008 (Bureau Veritas), Maritime Training Centre (Bureau Veritas), Maritime Training Centre – STCW78 as amended 2010 (Norwegian Maritime Authorities), IWCF within drilling and well intervention training and certification, Achilles.
