Dedicated volunteers in 1998, ODLI Inc. (Organization for the Development of Italian Studies) is a State of Florida non-profit organization 501(c)(3), which operates under the official auspices of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. ODLI's mission is to promote Italy's language and culture for Florida's students grade K-12 and adults. Together with the Consulate General of Italy in Miami, ODLI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Miami Dade County Public Schools, Broward County Public Schools, Collier County Public Schools, Hillsborough County Public Schools and an Agreement with Palm Beach County Public Schools. In 2005 the Florida Department of Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Consulate General of Italy in Miami and ODLI.
