Created in 1993, nWave Digital, the production arm of nWave Pictures is a state-of-the-art 3D animation studio based in Brussels, Belgium. nWave creates 3D stereoscopic feature films, 2D/3D large format films, and has a library of over 40 3D/4D theme park attractions and other special venue films distributed worldwide. Fly Me to the Moon (2008), was the first stereoscopic 3D movie designed and created in stereo from the start. To date, over 6 million people have seen Fly Me to the Moon in theaters worldwide. Sammy's Adventures: The Secret Passage, the company's 2nd stereoscopic feature, was released worldwide in 2010, followed by Sammy 2: Escape from Paradise which premiered in Europe in the summer of 2012 and continues to open in theaters globally. African Safari 3D, an immersive live action 3D adventure across Africa is coming to the screen in 2013, while The House of Magic, nWave's next animated 3D stereoscopic feature, is currently in production. Located in downtown Brussels, the studio's 2000 square meters are home to extrememly talented digital artists, developers, production and support people. nWave's customized networked environment, made up of Dell workstations and a render farm running Maya, Mudbox, Zbrush, Nuke, Renderman, 3Delight, numerous plug-ins and a variety of proprietary software, is supported by over 200 terabytes of storage space and managed by an Isilon distributed file system.
