We make audiences stop, look up, and delight. Nutkhut creates bold, boundary-breaking performance work — outdoors, in unexpected places, and always in dialogue with the specific locations we work in. We mix media, mash up influences, and bring humour and spectacle to everything we do. Our work exists for one reason: to delight audiences. Founded in 2003 by British Asian artists Simmy Gupta and Ajay Chhabra, Nutkhut is an ideas-led, art-focused performance company. We blend performance, dance, film and participation with a distinctly British wit and eccentricity you won't find anywhere else. We're a major force in outdoor performing arts, working with festivals and events across the UK and beyond. Nutkhut is modern Britain, performed. Our work could only have come from the here and now.
