We are NRV Traditional Karate, LLC. We have been around since 1986 when Jerry Farris a VT professor started the club as Blue Ridge Karate-Do. Mr. Robert Hall became lead instructor in 2003 and became owner of NRVTK, LLC in 2010. In summer of 2014 NRVTK partnered with Ellet Valley Beef Company and moved to it's own training space. The newly located dojo sports heavy bags, makiwara (punching posts), and strength training equipment. Our goal is to provide a family friendly environment in which to teach an ancient martial art. Over the last 50 years karate has developed and spread around the world. The "Traditional" part of our name means we are practicing an art that has been passed down for hundreds of years. We utilize modern methods to train the same techniques that martial arts masters have practiced for generations. There are no contracts and we offer family discounts.
