Northern Star was created following the merger of Limestone Investment Management and Northern Star Partners in 2011, but its roots go back to 2007. Based a mere 80km apart on two sides of the Gulf of Finland, Tallinn and Helsinki form the base of Northern Star international ambitions. NORTHERN STAR manages two multi-asset two funds that have an absolute return target over the business cycle. We believe in dynamic approach investing in different liquid asset classes according to our macroeconomic and bottom-up analysis of the state of the business cycle. Northern Star also manages two equity funds investing in global emerging and frontier markets. We believe in specialization and focus, and this is why each fund is managed by dedicated investment team. All of the funds follow Northern Star investment philosophy based on active non-benchmark hugging approach, fundamental in-house analysis complemented with long-term view on sustainability issues.
