Nomad Design specialises in sourcing traditionally made textiles from West Africa and Central Asia to make homewares and accessories. Founder, Georgina Olley, established Nomad Design in 2015 after working for other start up homewares brands in London. The beauty of artisan textiles and the intricacies in their making captivated her attention. It inspired me to focus on the importance of celebrating the communities that make them. Her passion for hand making and culture are core parts of the company's ethos. Provenance is also paramount, culturally and environmentally. "Using our hands is sacred, with them wonderful and timeless pieces are created." Globally inspired textiles have been central to my life and my exploration of culture ad people. I very fortunate enough to have grown up all over the world as my father was in the army and my family has multiracial heritage. "What I create are iconic, functional and timeless pieces that carry tangible and cultural legacies in their fibres." We proudly manufacture all of our products by hand in England.
