New River Notes was launched in January 1998 by Jeffrey C. Weaver as a resource to assist New River Valley researchers in their quest to unravel the past. It has become a valuable resource for many researchers. This site is now owned and operated by the Grayson County, Virginia Heritage Foundation as a free resource for all to use. The goal of the GCVHF is to maintain the site and add content so that the site will continue to serve all. We will need contributions from many to achieve our goals.
