The Nevada County Historical Society offers free presentations about local history on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at Madelyn Helling Library, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City [map] . Free of charge. These programs are preceded by a short membership meeting to announce updated society news. These monthly events are regularly announced in the local media and can also be found posted on our Events Calendar. All interested parties are invited to attend.
