Neo Voice (Neo Voice Telecomunicações ltda) was created in 2006 to re-launch TVA Voz, in partnership with Oi (Telemar) and TVA, giving TVA an aggressive wireline VoIP service to increase the attractiveness of TVA’s Triple Play offer in order to successfully compete against Net and Telefonica in Sao Paulo, Brazil The re-launch was successful: TVA Voz’s customer base doubled after a few weeks and market penetration reached 3.3% in 5 months, while Net reached 9.2% penetration after 5 months but supported by an expensive and aggressive marketing campaign. TVA Voz was discontinued after TVA was acquired by Telefonica in 2007.
