Controls have been supplying industrial and commercial electrical products to the Australian electrical industry since 1990. From meagre beginnings in Melbourne’s outer Northern Suburbs, the company was founded by Neville and Karen Whyte in the back room of Neville’s mother’s home in Macleod, Melbourne. Tracey Pascoe and Jan Sturzaker were then added to the staff. It was soon realised that to expand the business, Neville and Karen needed to move into larger premises so the decision was made to move to a small office/warehouse in Greensborough. Soon after this move, John Cartwright, Darren Mantynen and Graeme Thomson were added to the staff. The business rapidly expanded and quickly outgrew the Greensborough warehouse. N.A.W. Controls now operate from a 3,500 sq metre office/warehouse complex in Thomastown, Victoria. With a national distribution network employing 70+ people and presence in all state capitals, N.A.W. Controls have now grown to be one of the major players in the industrial and commercial electrical supply industry in Australia today.
