Welcome to MVSA Volleyball Club! As one of the longest serving volleyball clubs in the Chesapeake Region, we have a proven track record of excellence without compromising on our belief that high level volleyball opportunities should be available to everyone. We offer volleyball programs of all levels throughout the year to the residents of Montgomery County and all surrounding areas. Club Volleyball at MVSA MVSA Volleyball Club hosts teams in the 10U through 18U age groups (generally 4th grade through 12th grade). Within each age group that hosts multiple teams (11U-18U), our "top teams" are focused on qualifying for USAV Nationals. They can qualify through CHRVA bid regionals or via one of the qualifying tournaments they attend during the season. While some of our second teams have also qualified for USAV Nationals in the past, their goal is generally to win the CHRVA club regionals tournament. Our third teams (age groups 12U-16U) are focused on developing players who may not have the experience or skills but show an aptitude for the game. Positive attitude and general athleticism can go a long way to getting selected for one of our third teams. Despite their more developmental nature, our third teams often outperform the top teams from other clubs. MVSA Club Teams Include: U10: Lightning 10-1 U11: Chaos 11-1, Tornadoes 11-2 U12: Vortex 12-1, Thunder 12-2, Vipers 12-3 U13: Wahoo! 13-1, Xtreme 13-2, Phoenix 13-3 U14: Force 14-1, Dynamite 14-2, Heat 14-3 U15: Charge 15-1, Wild 15-2, Empire (-o-) 15-3 U16: Sparks 16-1, Fusion 16-2, Starz 16-3 U17: Blaze 17-1, Storm 17-2 U18: Chaos 18-1 We also offer a girls' recreational league that runs during the fall (late August through October). The league has multiple divisions of play and can therefore be a wonderful fit for a wide range of athletes. It is open to girls in grades 4 through 8 and will teach volleyball skills and tactics while in competition with other girls of a similar age and skill level.
