Since its foundation in 1978 Marine Foods B.V. has grown into one of the main trading companies in frozen fish in The Netherlands with markets in South East Asia, Japan, Australia, Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia. “Quality, Reliability and Service“ is the basic principal of Marine Foods resulting since many years in solid relationships with customers and producers worldwide. In 1995 Marine Foods started a partnership with the largest pelagic factory Makfroid SAS, in France. Here Mackerel, Horsemackerel and Sardines are the main species produced. Marine Foods is responsible for the export of fish produced by Makfroid.

All of PureFish select farms and fisheries adhere the following principles for the products they produce: Environmental Sustainability, All Natural and/or Organic Rearing for aquaculture, and full traceability with 3rd party audits and certifications. With so much misinformation in the seafood sector, PureFish prides itself with working with 3rd party certification bodies. Our farms and fisheries are certified and audited by 3rd party companies that include: Friend of the Sea, Organic Food Federation, Naturland, RSPCA Freedom Food, & GAP to ensure the validity and traceability of our producers and their products to our customers and the consumer.
