The Multi-Force Shared Service (MFSS) is a back office shared service developed through a collaboration between Cheshire Constabulary, Northamptonshire Police and Nottinghamshire Police. The MFSS went live in 2012 with the initial two partner forces and rapidly stabled the services delivering £15m of savings in the first 2 years. In April 2015 Nottinghamshire Police became the third partner force to go live. 2015 also saw the MFSS awarded as winners of the Excellence in Value Creation award at the SSON European Excellence Awards.
