Mountain Girl Press is a small press aimed at publishing quality fiction written by the women of Appalachia. Established in 2005, Mountain Girl Press is part of Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc. of Johnson City, TN. Our mission is to publish fiction and short stories that celebrate the wit, humor, and strength of both old-time and modern Appalachian women.
