MOONS Information

At MOONS, we’re on a mission to make everyone's monthly moon an experience filled with compassion, community, and respect. We offer convenient, intuitive products that solve problems, answer questions, and take you and your body seriously—no matter what phase you’re in. MOONS was born out of disappointment—in the cultural anxiety that surrounds women’s cycles, in the limitations of the products available to us, and in the narrow lens through which most of us are taught about how our own bodies work. So, we decided to change that, starting with the language we use to talk about it all. “Period,” “tampon,” “ovulation,” and “menopause” shouldn’t be words said in hushed tones. But until the world can come to terms with the beauty and power of female anatomy and female experience, they will be. So, since our dream is to change the way we experience our first periods, our monthly periods, and the period of time known flatly as menopause, we decided to change the way we talk about it all, too. After all, the length of a woman’s menstrual cycle is close to the length of a full lunar cycle, and the moon has always been associated with fertility, female energy, sisterhood, and new beginnings.
