Moomaid of Zennor Ice Cream Information

Moomaid of Zennor is a family business producing good quality Cornish ice cream and sorbets. It was set up by brothers Nicky and Robert Monies in 2006 and runs alongside Tremedda Farm in West Cornwall, which has been in the Monies family and dairy industry for over a 100 years. All of Moomaid's luxury ice creams and sorbets are made on the farm. Fresh milk and cream are taken daily from their Friesian dairy herd and combined with locally grown fruit and ingredients in the purpose built ice cream room. Moomaid makes over 30 flavours, ranging from traditional favourites, including Cornish Clotted Cream and Toffee Fudge, to specials such as, Chocolate Sorbet, Fig ice cream and Pink Champagne sorbet. Tremedda Farm lies on a small 250 acre strip of land between the coast road and cliffs at Zennor - famed for its tale, ‘The Mermaid of Zennor’, in which a young Cornishman is lured into the sea below the village by a beautiful mermaid.
