Monex Group, Inc. Information

The company name “MONEX” signifies “a step forward in the future of finance.” We are MONEX, because we are a step beyond the “Y” of “Money.” We endeavor to build a true financial infrastructure for individuals and to provide the best possible services needed by individuals, thereby contributing to society. Monex was jointly established in April of 1999 by Oki Matsumoto and Sony Corporation under this philosophy, and opened for business in October of the same year in timing with the complete liberation of securities transaction fees. Was listed on TSE Mothers in August of 2000. Merged with Saison Securities Co., Ltd in June of 2001, and with Nikko Beans, Inc. in 2004, establishing the holding company Monex Beans Holdings, Inc. (currently Monex Group, Inc.) which was listed on the First Section of the following year. Merged with ORIX Securities in May 2010, and with Sony Bank Securities in January 2013. We aim to provide world-class financial services to individual investors as an integrated online financial services broker.
