Building a cost-effective and accessible tool to screen for Alzheimer's... Mobile Memory is a MassChallenge startup under the IBM AI Mentorship Program that aims to reinvent better cognitive screening methods based on vocal biomarkers. Alzheimer's is a preventable disease, but without accessible screening methods, this disease is often diagnosed too late. By the time symptoms emerge, irreversible brain damage has already occurred, leaving little opportunity for medicine to intervene in the progression of disease. Early detection is needed to identify early stages of dementia, but healthcare barriers make this infeasible. Mobile Memory addresses this unmet need by offering an inexpensive and accessible tool to screen for Alzheimer’s disease. We use AI/ML to monitor cognitive health by analyzing vocal biomarkers.
