Mitas was established in 1955 in Ankara. The main activity fields of Mitas cover energy transmission lines, lighting poles, GSM poles, advertisement poles, bolt and nut production, and hot-dip galvanising. Mitas carries out these activities in its total 82,000 m2 manufacturing facilities, of which 42,000 m2 is indoor. Mitas Galvanising Inc. is the only enterprise owning 4 different galvanising furnaces situated in the same manufacturing site, of which one being the largest fully automated galvanising furnace in Turkey. The facility, with its galvanised steel production capacity of 60,000 tons/year and galvanising capacity of 250,000 tons/year, has been the locomotive of the sector.
