Mitas, part of the Trelleborg Group, is one of Europe’s leading producers of tires for agricultural machines, construction vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and other specialty segments. Mitas manufactures and sells tires under Mitas and Cultor brands. The history of Mitas dates to the 1930s, when tire production started in Prague then the capital of Czechoslovakia, and in the Moravian city of Zlin. Mitas currently operates manufacturing facilities in the Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovenia, U.S. and has a global sales and distribution network. Mitas cooperates with leading agricultural and industrial machinery manufacturers to help them develop tires tailor-made for their purposes. Mitas also endorse own research and development in order to better serve the needs of our customers. Mitas works in partnership with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), for the development of their new products. Mitas is a major supplier of radial agricultural tires for new tractors and combines produced by global leaders and has earned several awards and recognitions, such as AGCO “Supplier of the Year 2015” in the category of Engineering & Innovation, Partner-level supplier in the John Deere “Achieving Excellence Program 2015” and Overall Winner of the “CLAAS Supplier Awards”. Mitas focuses on niche off-road tire programmes. Mitas core business is in agricultural tire market (e.g. tractor and harvester tires) but important part of Mitas portfolio is formed by industrial tires (multipurpose tire, off-road earth-moving tire, skid-steer tire, etc.), motorcycle and bicycle tires. Majority of all tire produced by Mitas are delivered to its customers in Europe. The company, however, is committed to expanding its global presence.
