About Us about-usMetelerkamps is a surprisingly large kitchen shop found in the small sea side town of Knysna. It is owned by John Metelerkamp and his wife Avril. John bought it as a small gas appliance business in 2005 and since then he has changed, improved, expanded and then expanded some more. His best move was bringing in his wife who made perhaps the biggest and best changes of all and that was to take us from an appliance business to the destination shop we are today. She has a feel for the beautiful, designer and branded goods and John is brave enough to let her order the things that she likes. Metelerkamps have a small staff, many of whom have been with John since the beginning. He lets us all have our say and bring in our ideas which make for great arguments and some fun ideas. To complement our household items we also sell and install the closed combustion wood burners. It is a large part of our business and something we are all very passionate about. We have a beautiful store in Knysna, visit us!
