GOPA MetaMeta Team and Services Our staff are highly qualified technical advisers and project managers who think innovatively and firmly believe in the importance of local ownership by the communities with whom we work in the Global South. Our team understands how to embed its technical advice in the systems and cultures of the countries where we work. We serve a broad range of clients, including the Netherlands Government, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UN organisations and various research funds, including the Dutch Research Council (NWO). Since early 2024, GOPA MetaMeta is part of the GOPA Consulting Group from Germany, which is one of the largest international development organisations in Europe. GOPA MetaMeta’s water and land management expertise complements the broad sectoral expertise existing within the wider GOPA Group. At GOPA MetaMeta, we are on a mission to empower global communities through innovative solutions in land and water management. Through stakeholder mobilization, practical research, program development, implementation support, training, guideline and policy development, we drive tangible and scalable improvements in land and water management practices. Our work revolves around seven themes: irrigation management, landscapes and local climates, floods and droughts management, green infrastructure, vital water services, green and blue economy, and agroecology. In all these themes the aim is to bring practical improvement at scale.
