Medical Cannabis Research Foundation Information

As of the end of 2017 we have closed the foundation. We thank everyone who contributed their time and effort to this cause. We were a 501(c)(3) operating foundation for the public benefit established in September 2015. We were an all volunteer organization. Our Vision: —Patients will have access to safe, quality controlled cannabis and cannabinoid extracts for medical treatment with established therapeutic guidelines. —Practitioners will have the ability to prescribe cannabis products according to standards of practice. Our Mission: Develop and support collaborative cannabis research by providing a centralized place to access research services and resources, find funding and training opportunities, develop skills and share knowledge. Our Strategies: The issues we face with medical cannabis are deeply rooted, dynamic, and complex. None will be solved easily and quickly, and none will be solved through our efforts alone. We do all of our work in collaboration with partners, who join with us in taking risks, pushing for new solutions, and harnessing the transformative power of science and technology. —We develop goals and strategies before allocating resources and making investments. We continually collect and share data on our progress, reflect on lessons learned, and make course corrections as needed. Essential to this process is ongoing dialogue with our partners. We believe we can achieve greater impact by forging stronger relationships and —that achieving results depends on the quality of our partnerships. —A shared understanding of our mission and strategies will provide potential partners with the information necessary to assess alignment with our goals and objectives, will strengthen our partnerships, and create greater opportunities for collaboration. We pool our money, skills, energy, and ideas with others who share our passion, to make a bigger, more meaningful impact than any of us could make on our own.
