Since 1951, the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano is devoted to research and innovation in six major research lines: * Dynamics and Vibration of Mechanical Systems and Vehicles * Machine and Vehicle Design * Manufacturing and Productions Systems * Materials * Methods and Tools for product Design * Measurements and Experimental Techniques Our professors and researchers are engaged at the forefront of technology, dealing with global challenges that range from sustainable mobility and transport systems to energy efficiency, from smart, composite and meta-materials, to advanced manufacturing systems, products and processes, from additive manufacturing to Industry 4.0.
