MealSteals provides a FREE platform for businesses to communicate directly with potential customers (deal hunters, service industry, college students, and travelers) with Real-Time deal offerings to get people in the door. MealSteals is a map-based app that displays these "flash deals" with a countdown timer to elicit a sense of urgency in the users. Once a user clicks on an icon, a deal will popup displaying a short detail for the deal. They may then proceed to the deal detail page to review the specifics of the deal. Once they've decided on a deal, they show up to the establishment and redeem the deal with their server like a coupon (from the deal detail page). We have built out a back-end analytic system to track clicks along the user’s journey, so businesses can see exactly how well their deal is performing from map marker to redeem. This will allow the business to rework their terms, short detail, and description to be more effective. If additional traffic is desired, the business may choose to upgrade their account to improve their conversion rate.
