MBD Medical, LLC, formed in 2008, is a private and innovative medical device company with roots in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. MBD’s mission embraces the passion and values of its co-founders, Thomas D. Meade, M.D. and James D. Ralph, both of whom are dedicated to the creation and development of products which contribute to better surgical outcomes, speed patient recovery and improve the quality of patients’ lives today. Our self-contouring Clavicle fixation system, which is patented and was given FDA clearance, is considered a trans-formative surgical solution to healing fractured bones. The heart of MBD’s system is its unique bone plate that conforms to the contour of an irregularly shaped bone such as the clavicle. Our system allows for simpler and faster operative fixation which benefits patients, surgeons and hospitals.
