MayaPlus is a mobile and web app that optimizes and facilitates the sending of remittances from the United States to Latam. It offers our clients different options to buy a home back in their countries, avoiding going through intermediaries. MayaPlus was born from a family business with more than 30 years in the construction and real estate projects insdustries. Many of these projects brought the company closer to the reality of many families where one or more of its members had traveled to the United States to work and send money to their loved ones back in Guatemala. One of the founders of MayaPlus, Guillermo Castillo Saravia, started to recognize the value of these remittances in the economy of the immigrant's families, since in the construction and developer company, most of the properties were acquired with money sent from the US. However, the immigrants could not make a direct purchase of any property in their name because they did not have access to the country's banks. MayaPlus is the first application that offers Guatemalan migrants the possibility of managing their investments and, through the remittances, become property owners in Guatemala. MayaPlus wants to join and support Guatemalans in the United States, encouraging their financial inclusion through digitalization and banking, as well as with an app that is easy to access and use.
