BlockTower is an institutional investment firm, applying professional trading, venture investing, credit underwriting, and portfolio management to digital and traditional assets. Our strategies reflect how we want to invest ourselves: • BlockTower Flagship: Active trading directional exposure focused on liquid crypto assets via a multi-strategy approach analyzing both top-down market regimes and bottom-up asset selection (beta augmented with alpha), and incorporating market neutral strategies where appropriate to the opportunity set. • BlockTower Credit: Investing in real-world credit assets; traditional asset backed securities and structured lending solutions for fintech originators and non-bank lenders (eg, auto loans, trade finance, invoice factoring), and pursuing superior risk-adjusted returns using blockchain technology infrastructure. • BlockTower VC: Next-generation venture investing, applying the skills of both crypto-native and traditional VC to the growing web3 space; partnering with teams at the earliest stages as both investors and as users leveraging the BlockTower platform. We partner with the companies and projects building this paradigm-shifting technology, as investors and as users, from early stage to and through the liquid market journey. And we use and build blockchain infrastructure to create the future of financial services, including securitizing traditional assets on-chain, and working with real-world credit originators to provide capital and support as they move along their growth path. The firm was founded in 2017 by Goldman Sachs executive and engineer, Matthew Goetz, and University of Chicago Endowment portfolio and risk manager and Susquehanna International Group trader, Ari Paul.
